Active Integrated Marketing Drives Success for 'Corvettes for a Cure' Event and Takes Home the Gold

Glenside, PA (PRWeb) November 28, 2006 -- Active Integrated Marketing drove the third annual "Corvettes for a Cure" event to success through promotions that resulted in triple the amount of money raised and double the amount of participating Corvettes. The event benefited the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. The agency was awarded a Gold MarCom Creative Award in the Public Service Promotion Campaign category.

The MarCom Creative Awards are an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. It is sponsored by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals. According to the Association, award recipients have proven to exceed a high standard of excellence and their work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

The event was held in July in Phoenixville, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. Driven by a series of integrated media, including a new Website, emails, flyers, public relations efforts and corporate sponsorships, Corvette enthusiasts from all over the region flocked to the event.

The highlight of the day was the first-ever "Lance Miller's Choice" trophy award. Lance Miller, of Corvettes at Carlisle fame, attended the event with his 1960 "Cunningham" Corvette - from the Miller Family's Corvette Collection.

Adam Wartell, founder of the event and Angela Morsa of Active Integrated tapped Miller to attend. With Miller's help, the team achieved their goal to more than double the 40 cars that had attended in each of the previous two years…and raised much more money for the charity.

Wartell, founder of C3 Vette Registry (C3VR.com), a members-only website for Corvette owners, founded and produces this event in honor of his grandmother, who recently died of the disease. In her, he saw the devastating impact that Alzheimer's has on patients, their families and the health care system.

"I am absolutely thrilled that with a lot of hard work and enthusiasm by volunteers, sponsors and attendees, we were able to raise so much more for a cause that is so close to my heart," Wartell said. "We couldn't have done it without our partner, Active Integrated Marketing."
